Reshaping Details in ScyllaDB

Whenver our scylla-server restarts, the reshaping processes take place which takes many hours. Have a few questions regarding the same -

  • How can we see overall progress for the reshaping? How much has completed and how much more it will take for completion. Anyway I can monitor that in scylla-manager?
  • Can this reshaping process be skipped on server-restart? and if skipped what harm it can cause?

Looks like your compaction is not in a healthy state. Do you have static shares set for compaction?

You cannot abort or skip reshape, but I think you can monitor the progress using the /task_manager REST endpoints.
