Last week in scylla-cluster-tests.git master (issue #150; 2026-09-05)

This short report brings to light some interesting commits to scylla-cluster-tests.git master from the last week. Commits in the ff781b5a…5fbbee4c range are covered.

There were 67 non-merge commits from 16 authors in that period. Some notable commits:

The constraint-based sizing rollout reached most of the test-case tree. Hardcoded instance_type_* parameters were replaced with sizing_db/sizing_loader/sizing_monitor constraint blocks across the longevity configs, alternator cases.

The OCI backend gained IPv6 networking and secondary VNIC attachment. CI jobs reusing the multi-VNIC configuration came with it.

Gemini’s oracle cluster now works on GCE and Azure, not just AWS and OCI.

Monitoring moved to the 4.16.x branch.

Weekly microbenchmarks gained read and write jobs for the perf-cql-raw tool on x86_64 and arm64, next to the existing perf-simple-query ones. The same jobs are also triggered by the PGO offline installer pipeline.

Two experimental logstor performance pipelines driven by latte landed, with uniform and hotspot workloads at 600k and 750k op/s.

The latte image itself moved to 0.51.0, which picks up the Rust scylla driver 1.8.0, replaces SimpleStrategy with NetworkTopologyStrategy in its schema, and fixes a retry backoff overflow past attempt 64.

ScyllaDB is dropping the scylla-housekeeping subsystem, so all housekeeping checks and code were removed from SCT.

See you in the next issue of last week in scylla-cluster-tests.git master!
