This short report brings to light some interesting commits to [scylla-cluster-tests.git master](https://github.com/scylladb/scylla-cluster-tests) from the last week. Commits in the 9c59cc58…da5f0d43 range are covered. There were 29 non-merge commits from 6 authors in that period. Some notable commits: SCT logs are now printing [hostnames for each RemoteCommandRunner output line](https://github.com/scylladb/scylla-cluster-tests/commit/9c59cc58cb283fcaf3832852ce444e965455fb34), which helps differentiate and filter log lines for specific nodes. We [introduced Amazon Linux 2023 tests](https://github.com/scylladb/scylla-cluster-tests/commit/0afaad62199494807d32536b28bd7794d0321ea6) as Amazon Linux 2 will be deprecated next year, so we are beginning support for the next version. Another speed improvement for database node setup was achieved [by moving syslogng-exporter installation to cloud-init](https://github.com/scylladb/scylla-cluster-tests/commit/376dcb9834cb65329f12649a8ed6f463686915f5). Enabled testing of Kafka connectors [with a Kafka cluster setup on sct-runner instance](https://github.com/scylladb/scylla-cluster-tests/commit/a9698945123c747dd7b1b6224e9a1eea26730176) using Docker Compose. With a [Kafka consumer thread](https://github.com/scylladb/scylla-cluster-tests/commit/c04c2c3cffe0e82156692a11658432b590037044), the test reads data written by the connector and validates the received information, starting with row count. [Initial pipelines for the basic case](https://github.com/scylladb/scylla-cluster-tests/commit/f0c6945c6dd883d2b415c2740c5d8bbc0051b2e1) were added, using Docker and AWS backends. A small improvement for the [apt packages installer to use a built-in feature to wait for locks](https://github.com/scylladb/scylla-cluster-tests/commit/b5486cad625db869c8743ad69c6a547d0f27ac6e). When topology operations are aborted by SCT request, the severity of [expected raft\_topology error messages](https://github.com/scylladb/scylla-cluster-tests/commit/c27be0ec3616f5e18b635bb639ee0d8e93aed972) are decreased to a warning. The large partition longevity test [stress commands](https://github.com/scylladb/scylla-cluster-tests/commit/7ab9a65a2a9897500caea8ed2ef17e67ee02d069) were refactored to simplify and behave correctly when triggered with a custom stress duration. A new [longevity test with RF=1](https://github.com/scylladb/scylla-cluster-tests/commit/12974a7af5f0c121d2252e5d4bed014fd5b6f3db) was added to cover issues observed in the field. [Rolling restart now waits](https://github.com/scylladb/scylla-cluster-tests/commit/93f317c0b720f4dba1e726a184c16b1433a12a75) for all nodes to be in UN state before proceeding to the next node. Continued adaptation of [Mergify](https://github.com/scylladb/scylla-cluster-tests/commit/a4d367102b5f1677651077c5aa2752081b55a396) to automate the backporting process within SCT. Report screenshots are now [created with Grafana Image Renderer](https://github.com/scylladb/scylla-cluster-tests/commit/955d14afc58e611ebbc3ff7a3e18aa11d230fae8), greatly improving the speed (from 9-10 minutes to 2.5 minutes). Lots of code could be dropped and [selenium](https://github.com/scylladb/scylla-cluster-tests/commit/da5f0d43b6fb0a0c84731585cf4c79ee6a58bc17) removed from the Hydra image.
