# How do I list all the keyspaces in a cluster?

To list all the keyspaces in a cluster from a [CQL Shell](https://university.scylladb.com/courses/data-modeling/lessons/basic-data-modeling-2/topic/cql-cqlsh-and-basic-cql-syntax/) use:

`DESC KEYSPACES`

`DESCRIBE` can also be used. The above works in the same way for ScyllaDB and for Cassandra. You can read more about it in the [Docs](https://docs.scylladb.com/stable/cql/cqlsh.html#describe).
